I have just received my Arduino x8 and max carrier and I'm having trouble setting it up.
I can access the x8 via USB-C and plugging it into my computer. Following the getting started guidenI was able to connect to wifi and give a factory name. Now after connecting the x8 to the max carrier I powered it via the Max carriers dc power supply but then when I connect the Portenta to an HDMI screen I am not getting anything displayed. Not sure if there was an additional setup that I missed out on or if I am using the board wrong.
I was under the impression the board is a mini computer like the raspberry pi just way more powerful while also having the h7 microcontroller on board.
My main goal is to connect the x8 to the max carrier and get access to the operating system so I can use it like a microcomputer.
Also, one getting started guide asked for an Arduino pro subscription. Is that necessary to do for my desired application? Also, what is the difference between that and the Arduino IoT cloud business with the x8 manager?
