do you have any ideas what components are needed to make silver coin tester similar to Sigma Metalytics Precious Metal Verifier Original ? I'd like to build device that can check if coin is made from fine silver (99,9%), junk silver (90%) or is fake silver coin.
This may help you get started.
Instead of detecting if a metal is present, look at the differences from known metals.
Start with this one, then add amplitude and phase detectors , values from detectors are related to metal conductivity.
Have you tried looking at their patents for hints?
