SIM900 Quad-band GSM/GPRS Shield

Hello, i just bought a GSM/GPRS Shield from ebay http://www.ebay.com/itm/321418410538 .

I have no idea how to get started, as i tried a few codes, including :

I've replaced my number in it, but no sms was sent. I don't even know if my shield is connected to the network, as the NET led is off (PWR is on).

I had a doubt abt the RX and TX pins, so i replaced the SoftwareSerial SIM900(7, 8 ); to SoftwareSerial SIM900(0, 1); but still no luck.

Please a help in sending a sms.

Does shield answer, if you send simple AT command?
I´m using this shield rigt now and it works well.

It doesn't reply. even tried "AT+IPR=19200" command, no reply.

Check your serial connection. There is jumper on my shield, where you can choose, which pins are You using for communication. If you want to use some other pin (for example I'm using Serial 2 on Arduino mega) you have to connect it by wire. GTX pin on shield to RX pin on arduino and GRX->TX pin.
