Hi,
First of all, sorry for my bad english, this is not my native one. I will do my best.
Recently I bougth a GSM SIM900A for a project and discovered that I needed to update the firmware to make it work on my country.
So I did.
And I run into another problem... No matter wich firmware I flash on the module, the result is the same.
The serial output being populated with "trash" characters. These characters and string lenght change depending on the baud-rate set on the terminal software.
I've tried all preset baud-rates. Tried to sent AT commands like:
AT
AT+IPR=/baud/
AT+IFC=0,0
Followed by AT&W and a module reset, hoping that the baud-rate that I just set would work. It didn't.
I did some research and there is no much material explaning what is this and why is happening.
The only answers are "problably something related with baud-rate, good luck.".
No fix for that until now...
Can you guys help me?
Sorry if I made this post on the wrong category, I'm new around here, just read the rules and tried to do my best.
