[solved] getting wires to stay in pins

Hi, i'm currently finishing up a project and i'm having a lot of trouble finishing it because i can never get the wires to stay in their pins correctly, they always slip out of their pins and such.

whats the best way to keep the wires in their pins without spending much money at all?

Use single core wires with the right thickness.
Can you make a photo of what you have ?

I use thesehttp://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:16_Pin_Header.jpg
They are really cheap, you just have to solder the wire on the shortest pin..

mmm not exactly what i'm looking for, what about just by the way i turn the ends of the wires?

That's certainly not a solution, however if that's how you wanna make it , why not!!!

if you are using a proper size wire now they don't fit right because a larger wire or something has been used there. If this is the case you can put a little solder on the wires and they will stay better only a very small coat. I usually move away from the plugs for the final version of a project and solder the wires right on the board. Or if its a UNO to build a pcb with all my parts and an atmel328p.

ah, i'll try soldering maybe, thanks

Header connectors only cost a few pence and give you a pretty good solution - it works better when you have multiple wires connected because then you can put the terminals in a common shroud so they support each other. If you really only want to connect individual wires and don't want to use header connectors, you can use male-to-male jumper wires snipped to length.
