Someone knows fast pressure sensor (>0.5 ms ) at 15 bar (217 psi) ?

Hi,

I want to measure the working pressure of my 250 watts Stirling engine real-time 60 times per revolution to make a meaningful PV - diagram for further optimisation.

Now I use a Freescale MPX5999D and a SKU237545 pressure sensors which have 1 ms / 2 ms response time.

It works mostly fine on the Arduino Due (the Due is fast enough...) but at higher rpm (2000+) it often gives false results.

60s / (60*2000) = 0.5 ms time between two measurements which is to fast for above sensors.

To make an impression of the setup you can see a small video here:

Does anybody know a fast pressure sensor or has information that can help along?

I would be very thankful for any help and thanks for your kind interest

Greetings

Ralf

You just need some sort of strain guage based sensor I suspect. The limiting factor will be the mechanical
and acoustic properties of the sensor then.
