SparkFun Battery Babysitter - LiPo Battery Manager Charging Issue

Hi there,

I am currently using the Sparkfun Battery Babysitter for my project, but I am encountering an issue with charging the battery. The problem is that whenever I connect a power source to charge the battery, the blue charging LED will flash briefly and then turn off. As a result, the battery does not get charged at all. I have tried using a 5V power supply, a USB port on my computer, Arduino Uno, and a separate battery with a screw terminal, but none of these methods seem to work.

Edit: When gradually increasing the voltage using a power supply, it looks like the charging LED will flash once the voltage passes 3.3V however, the battery will not charge even when it is within the charging voltage range of 4.35V to 6.4V.

Edit: The rest of the breakout board is operating as normal and sending the battery data to the Uno. Only the battery charging is not working.

Here are the links to the Sparkfun Battery Babysitter and the Charging Guide for your reference:

I have also attached a photo of the setup for your reference.

Any advice or solutions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!

The tutorial does show how to hook this up properly, but not with an Arduino Uno. Most of the time you connect the power source to the main device, i.e. to the UNO. Try that!
I hope I could help you,

Unfortunately, attempting to charge the battery with the Arduino Uno yielded the same result of the charging LED flashing once but not charging. I am unsure what is causing the issue, as the rest of the breakout board is operating as normal and sending the battery data to the Uno.

Have you tried just using the board on its own , does that work ok ?
