[Standalone atmega2560] Do all VCC and Ground pins need to be connected?

I'm working on a schematic in Eagle around a mega 2560 standalone. Eagle is complaining that some VCC pins are left unconnected. I know that connecting AVCC is usually a must and VCC itself is to power the controller. Some other VCC pins (2,3 and 4) must be analog power pins? Also same thing with multiple grounds, should they all be connected?

Thank you.

Connect all power and ground pins.

srnet:
Connect all power and ground pins.

Mr Gammon also states that a decoupling cap between the AVCC to GND as well as between VCC and GND are good precautions. Would this again apply to all 4 VCC pins on the mega2560?

A good read of the data sheet , which often shows example wiring is well worth while
