Well, actually, the green LED and red LED still light but pretty dim. But thanks for your clear explanation
Oh yes, the LED i used is really dim so i didn't take a picture of it. Thanks for your help!

Welp, it's just that the voltage of pin 8 is stil high enough for the LED to slightly bright but still lower than the digitalRead(HIGH) threshold voltage.
Did anyone get to the bottom of why @quanny is using an input pin and wondering about the behaviour of an attached LED?
It looks like it was commented on, but evy'one just going along on this odd ride.

Now, it may be the time for @quanny to confugure DPin-8 as output pin and experiment with the electrical parameters shown at the top right of Fig-1.
