I am sure that this is (relatively) new.
It was once the case that editing the last post in a thread caused the thread to appear, once again, at the top of the list of new threads.
This made me reluctant to make any immediate necessary changes or corrections and I preferred to wait until a new post appeared in the thread. However, this seems no longer to be the case. +1.
