Hello everyone;
I'm very new to Arduino and electronics, but I'm really loving this. It's fantastic the possibilites that Arduino, hard work and criativity can take you, really.
As I am an amateur rocketeer (I basically construct every piece of my own rocket), I need to do a static test, wich consist basically of starting the engine with full load, in a safe place where a explosion could occour without injuring anyone, and see if it's safe to launch. Another important point is to collect every data from the motor you can, like temperature, inside pressure, gases velocity and the most important one, impulse.
Usually the impulse is collected by a pressure sensor connected to the motor head (the place where the force is applicated), with this you calculate the force. The problem is that I really don't know any kind of sensor that can make that. I think that could be a strength sensor or something like that, but I don't have a clue who is manufacturer of this or anything.
I've search on the playground and the only things that I've found it's about reading vacuum pressure and atmospheric pressure, so, could you guys gimme some help?
