TB6612FNG with 3 motors

Hey; so I have a little arduino RC car project which uses 3 9v motors powered by a 3s LiPo. I recently "smoked" a L298 motor driver, so now I'm looking for a replacement. I am thinking about using the TB6612FNG as an alternative, but from what I've read it is not suited for high voltage motors. Would it be possible for me to power the motors just fine with it? And what other alternatives are there?

In case you are into the lego technic sistem; the motors are 2 M motors and one XL motor.

The Pololu website has a wide range of motor drivers.

Since when produces a 3s LiPo pack >15V?

I'm guessing that you are asking this question to know how I smoked the l298 bridge
I accidentally connected the wires the wrong way around.

No, I asked it as you suggest the TB6612FNG can not handle the voltage of a 3s LiPo pack, and I do assume you did check the specs of that chip before asking this question.
