The Arduino IDE goes very very slow

Hi everyone.
The Arduino IDE do compiling and uploading very slow, why?
I remember that doing fast before say few seconds, now more that 10 minutes.
how to do it?

I moved your post to a better place (assuming you are talking about IDE 2.0)

please provide more info about your OS, computer, IDE version if you have an anti-virus running etc...

My LENOVO laptop runs WIN10, and anti-virus turned off.
I am using 1.8.19

OK - I'll let the windows aficionados provide more input... I would double check that you do have no anti-virus on (the built in stuff from MSFT) as we have seen that before
