I recently encountered persistent DFU-related errors when uploading sketches to my Arduino Opta WiFi using the Arduino PLC IDE. The errors appeared even though the uploads were successful, and the sketches ran fine.

What I Tried:

  • Reinstalling the Arduino Opta board package
  • Reinstalling the Arduino PLC IDE and IDE
  • Testing multiple Opta WiFi boards
  • Manually uploading via the DFU bootloader (which worked)

Solution:

After trying everything, I finally reinstalled Windows 11, and that completely resolved the issue! The Arduino PLC IDE now works normally without DFU errors.

Takeaway:

If you’re experiencing similar DFU-related upload issues on the Arduino Opta WiFi and nothing else works, consider doing a clean reinstall of Windows.

Thanks for the info, but still, reinstalling Windows is hardly good advice worth suggesting to others.
If something didn't work for me and I had to reinstall the system, I would rather try to find another device.
