- Here are some things suggest you follow when prototyping.
- Use Dupont ended jumper wires with solderless breadboards.
Lean to make these jumpers yourself so you can confirm their quality.
Use silicone insulated stranded wires. 26/24AWG even 28AWG. check out the strand count of these.

- DVM is a must have.
- A simple logic probe like this can quickly identify problems.
D2 is not needed, it can just be a wire.
The two probes can be joined.

Wiring neatness is something you should always strive for.

Avoid high air wires as they can more easily be disturbed.

As with everything, the more you do the better things turn out.

Do not plug components into solderless breadboard holes with leads larger than 24AWG solid wires.
