Transistor for DC Motor

Hello.
I am building a project with Arduino Uno.
I need to connect a DC motor with these specifications:
Rated Volt. ==> 12V
Rated Current ==> 0.6 amps
Stall Current ==> 1.3 amps

Is safe to use a transistor 2N2222A?
Do you recommend other transistor?

Current is too much for 2N2222, I would use a logic level MOSFET like irlb8721pbf.
