I have used UID changer code from MFRC522 library to change UID for a card. i am getting the following errors when i trying the code.
"Card did not respond to 0x40 after HALT command. Are you sure it is a UID changeable one?
Error name: Timeout in communication.
Activating the UID backdoor failed. "
what would be the problem?

The U in UID is for unique. Generally it’s non modifiable (read only). Some cards do not have the read only flag and allow for modifications. It’s possible you don’t have such a card.
