UNO/debian

Hello,

on a debian-system

# uname -rsm

  • Linux 2.6.32-5-686 i686*

I installed the package
arduino, Version 0018+dfsg-6

Following the hint in Arduino Playground - HomePage
I also installed
librxtx-java 2.2pre2-10
and have set
export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/usr/lib/jni

i wrote a little skech simulating Traffic-Lights (red; red/yellow; green/yellow)

My Problem:

  • it works with Arduino Duemilanove (ATMEL 1009 ATMEGA 328P-PU); Tools-Board "Arduino Duemilanove or Nano w/ ATmega 328"; Port "/dev/ttyUSB0"
  • it works with Arduino NANO V3.0 (ATMEL ATMEGA 328P AU 1110); Board/Port as above
  • it doesn't work with Arduino UNO (ATMEL 1048 ATMEGA 328P-PU)

Tools - Board shows no Arduino UNO
Serial Bord only shows /dev/ttyACM0 and /dey/ttyS0

Trying some of the offered alternatives, the sketch compiles, but there are different error-Messages when Uploading

For example:
with choosing the board-entry "Arduino Duemilanove or Nano w/ ATmega 328" and serial Port "/dev/ttyACM0"
the error Message begins with:
processing.app.SerialException: Serial port '/dev/ttyUSB0' not found. ...

For example:
with choosing the board-entry "Arduino Mega" and serial Port "/dev/ttyACM0"
the error Message begins with:
processing.app.SerialException: Serial port '/dev/ttyACM0' not found. ...
(it really doesn't exist in /dev) :0
Any Idea?

Greetings Friedrich

You’ll need a newer version of the Arduino software. I’d suggest the recent released 1.0.1, but I think anything newer than 0020 has Uno support.

thanks
