Uno, prevent reset when open Serial monitor

I do NOT want my Uno to reset when I connect to serial
Found solution in this forum to disable DTR on my Windows USB/COM port
Did not work ...
I tried all 3 settings None, xon-xoff, DTR
Is there any other way to fix this without messing with my HW ?

Also found a hint to clamp Reset pin with capacitor and resistor
Was not clear on the details on this ... can anyone be more specific/hands on for this solution please.

Connect a 10uF or bigger capacitor from GND to RESET. The striped or neg lead of the capacitor connects to GND.
