hi , i want update firmware and program of esp 8266-01 to arduino nano . for this i am using this link.ESP8266 WiFi module
connection
I connected them as follows:

NANO --- ESP8266
RX ----- RX
TX ----- TX
GND --- GND
3.3V --- VCC
3.3V --- CH_PD
GPIO GND
separate 3.3V power supply for esp8266.

after connecting esp8266-01 to arduino nano board.one or two time esp8266-01 respont for AT commands for AT commands but at this movement there is no response of esp 8266-01 module .for this i am using separate 3.3V power supply for esp8266.
this connection also check on arduino uno but same problem occur.i didn't get how to solved this problem. how can update firmware of ESP8266?

One hint from ESP8266 WiFi module

Please note that you must connect to pins the cross hairs, pin 0(RX) of Arduino to TX of ESP8266 module and pin 1(TX) to the RX pin of module.
