Hi! Before I run the program, I select the Arduino and port, but I can't do so with the port. I tried to upload my code and received a notification: Upload error: Failed uploading: no upload port provided. I checked in the Device Manager, I found it shows "USB serial" with the sign "!" in the "Other devices" section. I don't know why. Please help me!
If you dig into that, there should be some details about the exact problem.
Which version fo Windows?
Which board are you trying to upload to?
Which serial-to-usb adapter is on the board (if any)?
Did you install the drivers?
Did it work in the past? If yes, what was the project that you were working on when it started to fail?
I've moved your topic from the IDE 2.x section to the section that is more tailored to board detection and upload problems.
Thanks for replying!
Windows version: 20H2
Board: Arduino UNO
Which serial-to-usb adapter is on the board (if any)? : No
Did you install the drivers? : No
I've not used Arduino before. I bought my board recently, and this is the problem I've encountered as the first time I've used it.
There will be one on the board. If you bought an original Arduino Uno, it will be a 16U2; if you bought a clone, it's more than likely the CH340 and you need to install the driver.
The serial-to-usb adapter (I should have said chip) is the chip closest to the USB port on the board. If you post a link to what you bought, we can check what that chip is.
PS
20H2 is not a Windows version; probably Win10.
Oh, that's right, I bought a clone. Thanks so much. I'm very grateful to you.
