Is it possible?
I ripped out an old Touchpad from some of the parts from a (very) old laptop, the bios is corrupted, Anyways, I thought there might be a way to use it.
So i ask, is it possible?
If so, How?
Thanks

I think yes,
it should be like a normal usb mouse, you just need the touchpad's pinout
Hmm...I'm not sure...My touchpad has 8 wires coming from the bottom side.
Way to many to be USB, Or even PS2.
Anyways, The Touchpad model # is tm1202SPU-134-5IB812AP95-034-078.
(taken from the sticker in the underside)
The whole sticker says:
Synaptics, Inc.
TM1202SPU-134-5
IB812AP95-034-078
MADE IN THAILAND
Synaptics has some info (found by Google "synaptics touchpad pinout")
Oh Haha thanks(I don't have a PDF reader installed, Darn, I Knew i forgot something XD)
Anyways, if it would help, here are pictures of it.
No wait, I Got the other board that has the buttons that connects to the mainboard, it has 4 cables, and a connector to where the touchpad cable connects to, I forgot that part, and it is not pictures in my previous post.
Anyways, in the PDF i only found the pinout for the 8 Pin Touchpad, and not the 4 pin cable that comes out of the complete touchpad assembly.
Thanks

Perhaps my touchpad was oldest than your
It works for me, connected to a PS2 port.
(sorry for my bad english, in case eheh)
Uh, ReCreate, you don't need a pdf reader, see this http://view.samurajdata.se/
Haha Nice!
Anyways, Oldest was wrong, its Older, We will never really know what the oldest Touchpad is
But any idea on how to find the pinout of the 4 cables?
And any idea on how to connect them?
Their tiny, about 3MM wide, on a ribbon wire.
Thanks
