Using Adafruit_Neopixel Library with Create

Hello,

Apologies if this is a) a known issue that I didn’t see or b) me being stupid.

I was just trying to upload the Adafruit Neopixel example ‘strandtest’ sketch, as I had a load of Neopixel LEDs connected to my Arduino Uno. However, when I try to upload the sketch I get the error:

/tmp/webide_tmp660600/simple/simple.ino:4:31: fatal error: Adafruit_NeoPixel.h: No such file or directory
#include <Adafruit_NeoPixel.h>
^
compilation terminated.

This is, I believe, a similar error to that when using the traditional IDE with no library installed. Do I have to somehow install the library on my computer before uploading? The traditional ‘Arduino’ directory is not installed.

I am using Google Chrome on Mac OSX El Capitan (10.11.4), with an Arduino Uno SMD Edition.

Thanks!

Have you uploaded/added your lib?
You can do this by clicking on the "Libraries" button on the sidebar.
Then click on "Add .ZIP library"

BTW: I currently saw that Adafruit Neopixel is already installed/supported. Maybe you should click on "Include" next to this lib.
Hm, made some tests. Get the same error as you did. I think this should work because NeoPixel is a pre-installed lib. Go with adding your version.
Made some more tests: which board have you selected? Using Nano does not work. Using 101 works fine.
