Using Strain gauge on skin + arduino

Hi, i am working on a project, where i want to measure how much skin stretches as a result of swelling.

I am thinking about using a strain gauge ( as shown in the picture ) an module like HX711 or similar and an arduino, to monitor how the swelling develops , but i am a newbee in electronics so, any suggestions if such setup can work ?

Those strain gauges are meant for bonding down on something.

They may work if you SuperGlue'd 'em to your skin - but I wouldn't recommend it :slight_smile:

I think you want something a bit more soft and stretchy...
