Vending machine with credit card processing?

Has anyone found a good solution for making a vending machine. I see some coin validators that look interesting and could then use and Arduino for a dispensing mechanism. However, has there been any info on a bill validator and/or a credit card processor for higher priced items?

Could a cell phone with a Square or PayPal reader process a CC and then send a command to the Arduino to dispense a product?

Any thoughts would be helpful.

The CC transaction would require connection with the bank to validate the acct and PIN. Have you contacted your bank to see their requirements?

And their charges. CC transactions aren't free.

process a CC you need CC gateway, there are tons of them. Every of them have API (application programming interface).

dependent transaction amount, AVS (Address Verification System) might be needed for an additional security layers. Has keypad to ask user key in billing zip code.
