Vibration Motor Textile

Hi everyone,

I am trying to do something I am very new to. I am working with currently 6 but potentially more (maybe 12-15) coin vibration motors that will be controlled all at the same time. They will be sewn into a garment.

  1. Which arduino would you recommend me to use?
  2. How can I do the circuit? is it serial or parallel? Do I need any capacitors, some circuits I saw needed one, some didn't use at all. I got a bit confused.
  3. If I want few to work at the same time, not all together, will I circuit it differently or only the code will be different?

Also can this recommended arduino also be constantly getting data from MAXMSP (some sort of bluetooth?) as I want the vibrations to follow a song's rhytm.

Looking forward to your help. Many many thanks.

Best,
Ilayda

It sounds like a fun project. You need to start a prototype circuit showing what you want to use. How do you want them to work, On/Off or something else. Look on the web and follow some of the tutorials, sorry to say they are not all good. As you progress post your code (check the how-to) in the forum directions, Post links to technical information on your hardware devices, azon links are usually lacking in technical information. Determine how long it will operate and if rechargeable or primary batteries.
