I am designing a liquid amount measure device using Arduino.
I am looking at flow meter for water and wondering if it will work for other liquids. I am also after a valve/solenoid to turn on and off the flow based on measurement from the flow meter.
Ideally, these would be food safe and 1/2-3/4" diameter.
Does anyone have any suggestions.

anything that can handle water or petrol can handle more viscouse liquids. Problem might be that these liquids interact with the materials of your system.
