The compile was always working. The problem was uploading.

Ahh. So this was an error produced during the download and not the compile.

This ar.exe file resides on your computer, and it not clear why it could not be copied. Copied to where? Mr Google tells me that there been reported issues where ar.exe can not be found related to anti virus software. Perhaps you can give an exemption to the IDE and see if you can download.

Can you find another computer to try with this board?

@cattledog Antivirus exclusions for everything related to Arduino.

I tried it already on two Dell 7820 desktop and a laptop.

I tried different cables, different USB connections on the PC, even forced a COM port number change.

I have two ESP32-Wroom working perfectly.

I just need an ESP32-S3, PSRAM, now.

I’m waiting for Expressif ESP32-S3 to arrive.

I declared it defective and asked for a return. I’m done with this board.
