I am working with a WB3S device which I understand is similar to the ESP12 product line. I am interested in understanding whether this device is supported in the Arduino IDE (MacOS) or not, and if so under what device name. Appreciate any advice/support.

These modules are designed into a Deta Smart Switch that I am looking to reprogram so that I can control how the switch works - I'm replacing a BtiCino lighting system.
That is a product that is in production, I could not find any schematics etc for it. You should contact the manufacturer for the wanted information. It appears to operate off of the mains so if you are not experienced I highly recommend stopping while you are ahead.
Thanks for the support. I'lll convert to an ESP12 instead. I was hoping to use the capacitive switch panel without the power relays (They are easily disconnected in the switch) so I could buy these off the shelf rather than design my own. I don't need to switch/connect/touch 240V so all should be good with an ESP (or similar) as I have access to 24VDC at each switch point. Again, thanks for the research - much appreciated.
