Hi,
Can you please assist me in finding out which arduino kit (and who supplies it) has these specifications;
Functionality Requirements:
- Ability to sense and follow a line
- Detect physical contact and respond accordingly
- Detect sound and respond
- Detect light and respond
Kit Components:
- Microcontroller (x1)
- Rubberised wheels (x4)
- Swivel/Castor wheel (x1)
- Chassis (firm material – hard board, laser-cut board, or injection-moulded plastic) (x1)
- Checklist (included in kit)
- Lithium Polymer battery with USB micro charging port (compatible with standard cellphone chargers) (x1)
- LEDs (Red, Green, Blue – x4 each)
- Software (free and compatible)
- Communication modules: Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and RF
- Servo motor (x1)
- Sensors:
- Touch sensor (x1)
- Sound sensors (x2)
- Light sensor (x1)
- Infrared line sensors (x2)
- DC motors, 3V (with leads fitted) (x2)
- Connectors
- Assembling tools
Minimum Robot Dimensions:
- Length: 20 cm
- Width: 15 cm
- Height: 11 cm
Welcome to the forum
I am willing to bet that you won't find a kit that meets your requirements as they are very specific.
You may be able to find a starter kit that has many of the components but will need to source others separately
I doubt you will find a kit with those exact components. Specifying it must also be of certain physical dimensions further reduces your choices. On top of that is asking for 'free and compatible' software.
To start, use your requirements and test that list against each processor that might work. After you have the processor, either shop on Amazon (fast but expensive) or AliExpress (cheap but slow) to get a stockpile of parts.
YOU must create the checklist (already partly done)
YOU must create the software although there are thousands of examples to clone.
Tools are your personal tools.
For sensors, source needed sensors with a common interface, I recommend I2C.
No idea what you mean by RF. In fact that sounds like you are not up to new user yet.
For BT and WiFi the esp32 line of boards may be better than Arduino, check out SEEED Studio XIAO for very small boards the size of your thumbnail.
Good luck.
