WiFi Shield

Is there any WiFi shields still available iv searched online and cannot seem to find one.

I purchased a WeMos D1 thinking it was a shield (i should of read the description) turns out its a micro controller itself.

The only thing i can find is an ES8266 breakout board but i would rather have a stackable shield, the official one dosnt seem to be available anymore.

Any ideas ?

For ref i have a Arduino Mega board

You can get a prototyping shield, solder your WeMos onto it and build your own shield.

There are many options for Arduino Wifi, you can see it here

Now that you have the WeMos, the first thing you need to do is assess it against your real needs, which are a total mystery to the rest of us. You may find that the Mega is redundant. I believe the only advantage a Mega has is more i/o. If that is what you need, then mounting the ESP ( perhaps something cheaper than the WeMos ) on a Mega proto board, as suggested, will offer space for other stuff as well. I don't think anybody has mourned the loss of the Arduino WiFi shield - ever.
