Wireless Camera ... Help!!!

I wish to add a wireless camera to my robot. I want to convert in into surveillance vehicle.
Please tell me about Camera interface and required wireless hardware.
I'm new to wireless and not very experienced in it.
Please let me know how to do it. Also let me know the code.

There are really no practical camera interfaces for the arduino.

Hmm...
Can I use XBee to transmit data of JPEG UART serial camera / Image Sensor?

Almost certainly.

Well... I haven't used XBee before. I know how to obtain strings using serial interface using Tx/Rx... Can anyone give me a tutorial or so to learn XBee? Where do I start to learn it? :-?

If you really want real-time CCTV images from your robot, why not just use one of these really tiny camera/transmitter units. I have seen these as small as an ice cube or even a sugar cube. They are self-contained solutions with camera/ transmitter and receiver. Any attempt at processing the data and transmitting it digitally is WAY too slow.

What is the range and cost of such camera?

I have seen them on the order of US$100 and even less.
The range depends on many factors. Under ideal conditions I would think perhaps 100-200 meters?

Yeah that's a good idea. I searched for them. But the typical range of cameras is 100 - 200 meters with price 100$ to 200$.

Range is an important factor for me, as I'm building a ROGV (Remotely Operated Ground Vehicle).

So, the Idea of using XBee seems to suitable and economical for me.

Part Qty. Total Price
50mW XBee 2 $80
JPEG UART Camera / Imagee Sensor 1 50
Total $130
