Wireless USB Hub

I need a wireless usb hub to deport a Keyboard, a mouse and maybe a Yubikey. I don't want to change my current wired keyboard and mouse.

I was surprised I couldn't find on the market something that would be cheap, easy to use and would not require any software installation so I am trying to come up with a design. I know very little in hardware design and so I would like to know if anyone here had any pointers or advice.

This is roughly what I am trying to achieve.

I don't really care about transfer rate but I do care about latency. nRF24 seems the way to go according to this in depth latency study: Benchmarking latency across common wireless links for microcontrollers - Electric UI.

Looking around there isn't much resources on USB hub hardware customization.

Any help is appreciated!

microcontrollers don't support usb hosting . That means you can't directly connect usb keyboard and mouse.

Unless - you get a "USB Host shield". They are available, but I guess they need a lot of tweaking, hand-holding, etc.

well he can use a usb host shield with usb hub but I don't think it would support a yubikey.
