Wiring up a 4 pin analog pressure sensor

Has anyone any experience in connecting up a 4 pin analog pressure sensor to an Arduino? I have a Honeywell CPC series analog sensor and the datasheet is crap to say the least.

All it says about the pins is :-

Pinout

    • V Excitation
    • Output Signal
  1. +V Excitation
    • Output Signal

But with no explanation as to what those mean or what they do.

IF anyone has used one of these or a similar analog pressure sensor before and can help me with wiring it up I would be most grateful.

Thanks,

Mike

They are a bit fiddly to use. Basically all they are is a bridge with the pressure sensitive resistor in one arm.
You need an op-amp to condition the signal. I wrote some words about them many years ago, here is the link to the text:-

and the diagrams are here:-

Mike that is great, but is there a link to a larger version of that image please? I cannot read the text it is so tiny. Thanks.

Have you tried pressing CNTRL + to increase the text size - it works for me.

Sorry,
I referred to the text page and you were concerned with the image - which was obviously scanned or stored at low resolution.

Memo to self - read before sticking both feet in !

Yes the image. I think it is just a thumbnail and not the actual image.

Well it was scanned at 300 dpi, try this link to it:-

That's the one. Great. Thanks Mike.
