Wrong colors on the IDE

Hello, I downloaded the 1.6.1 IDE in March when I got my open source 3d printer. Now I'm interested in learning to program an Arduino Uno I have on the way. So I downloaded the 1.6.5 IDE but I noticed the colors are off. I went back and tried earlier versions, and 1.6.4 and 1.6.3 also exhibit the wrong colors.

1.6.2 does show the correct colors so I will be using the time being. I'm a total noob so I want my IDE to match the example I'm using. I'm using a 2012 Retina Macbook Pro. I've attached pictures so you can see for yourself.

The syntax highlighting may change from one version to another as enhancements and corrections are made with each version.

Cuajinais we changed color scheme in order to better differentiate variables, function names, types and so forth

Ok. Thanks very much for the reply. I'll learn on 1.6.5 then since that is the path going forward.
