Xy-sow d4184 mosfet

I have the attached MOSFET module that I would like to use as an electronic load which will be regulated from the Arduino pwm. The module is getting very hot even at just 500mA.

I'm connecting the +12v to the module VIn+ to an ammeter and closing the loop from the PSU gnd to Vin- of the module.

Can you kindly help please?

You can read this many ways... Drawing could be better.
Also, what is your load, nominal power?
3.3V or 5V trigger?

Inductive load with flyback diode?
PWM frequency?

Help us by posting the complete circuit diagram, with all the pins, parts and connections clearly labeled. Also clearly state what and how the MOSFET gates are being driven (post the code, using code tags, if relevant).

Those MOSFETs are not suitable for 3.3V MCUs. Transfer characteristics from the data sheet:

Which Arduino?
What is "the load"?
With the load drawing 500mA, what voltage do you measure from MOSFET drain to source?
