1.8" TFT LCD display with an Arduino Micro

Ive wired in the display as was suggested on the Adafruit site (where I got the display) and ran the sample code in the IDE library, but I cant get the display to do anything. The back light comes on and the LED's on the board come on, but I cant get the display to do anything else.
I had to edit the pins in the sample code because it was originally written for an Uno. But ive double checked for correct pins and everything was right.
Anyone got any ideas as to what the problem could be?
Or have another code I could try with it?
Your help is greatly appreciated!

What model LCD are you using, there are a few out there.

Can you post a picture of your wiring?

Heres the link for the screen Im using: 1.8 Color TFT LCD display with MicroSD Card Breakout [ST7735R] : ID 358 : $19.95 : Adafruit Industries, Unique & fun DIY electronics and kits
Also ive attached a picture of my wiring. Its not the prettiest wiring job, but its getting the job done for now.
Any other Info you need?

All red? Ok, can you draw out a schematic of what pin(Micro) it going to the LCD.

Find this library, ST7735.h, and try this sketch

// Pins SCLK and MOSI are fixed in hardware, and pin 10 (or 53)
// must be an output
//#define sclk/SCL 13    // for MEGAs use pin 52
//#define mosi/SDA 11    // for MEGAs use pin 51
#define cs 10   // for MEGAs you probably want this to be pin 53
#define dc 9
#define rst 8  // you can also connect this to the Arduino reset

// Color definitions
#define	BLACK           0x0000
#define	BLUE            0x001F

// Option 2: must use the hardware SPI pins

Pin configuration between Micro and the LCD:

Micro Digital pin 12->LCD reset pin
Dp 11 -> LCD D/C pin
Dp 10 -> TFT_CS pin
Dp 9 -> MOSI pin
Dp 8 -> SCK pin

I hope that works for you.

Ill give that code a try and see what I can do. Thanks!

I gave your code I try, but I couldnt get it to compile. I think its because my ST7735 library is using a different name. I orginally followed the LCD Breakout wiring and basic operation tutorial on Adafruit before coming here. I have the libraries, just the naming is different. I tried changing the included library to see if that fixed to no avail. (Im still very new to working with Arduino's, this is my first real project with them, so bear with me, please!)My ST7735 library is named 'Adafruit_ST7735'. MAybe I missed a spot where I needed to change a name somewhere. Ill try to find an arduino library instead of an adafruit library and give it a try.

There are more libraries, which support the ST7735. There is TFT.h, which is included with the Arduino IDE, but also my own lib: Ucglib, see here: https://code.google.com/p/ucglib/wiki/ucglib?tm=6
