2 Supplies for UNO

Hi,

I was wondering something, is it possible to provide my arduino UNO with two supplys at one time, for example have a 7.4V battery connected to the Vin pin while a solar charger connected via the USB?

Would this damage the board? Also how would the board decide on which supply to use?

I'd think that the USB power input is assumed to have 5V all the time, if connected. Does yours? It's disconnected as soon as sufficient voltage is available from Vin.

Correct there is a scotthy diode that choose the voltage

If you want you could remove it, i did it for a project
