4.3" 480x272 LCD w/SSD1963 without arduino uno but without shield

I am trying to operate the examples of UTFT library on this LCD:

using arduino uno without arduino shield

they mentioned in this link that the LCD Library is supported by uno but not tested:

and the Arduino shield schematics in this link:

I saw from the schematics that there seems to be no hardware on the shield that is except pin adjustment to fit into arduino board, SD, flash and Font chips which I don't have to use.

so my question is:
1- Can I use arduino uno without arduino shield to drive this LCD?
and if yes then what precautions should I take?
