I am planning to build a remote controlled robot car,
I intend to use two of the motors linked below with 8 AA batteries with Arduino motor shield.
Is the current from the 8 batteries enough to drive the two motors?
You have the data sheets and the batteries, can't you figure it out? The question you should be asking is "how long will the batteries drive the motors?". And are thinking of putting the batteries in series or parallel, or a combination?
