Did you look at the project linked by @6v6gt in #14 above?

If that isn't very close I m surprised.

There are a few more pushbuttons, big deal.

Curiously pins 0 and 1 are used, I do not know why this wouldn't interfere with their other rolls.

Also curious is the lack of diodes in the matrix, that limits the flexibility of providing input from all the switches and buttons.

But that is the code I would start with, and to which a few modifications might mean matching your exact wiring.

This guy does quality builds... and gives you the code in the comments of his videos.

okay sooo!

this is what i got going on. all buttons work 1 arduino 1 leobodnar one vjoy encoder board. im having an issue with ghosting on the ardino matrix @alto777 now i understand what you mean about the diodes. issue is when i install in on a 3 pos toggle it cuts the button out that has the diode attached in the row but the other buttons before and after it still work is that messed up or what? what am i doing wrong? p.s i need a modified version of the 32 button box sketch](YouTube) to take 2 pots and 2 rotary encoders instead of the 4. would anyone be willing to help a brother out in that department atleast?
