Activate 5 v relay with lower power supplyer

I have 5 v relay and i want to energized coil with 5 v dc supply passing from water. But the problem is when i trying to passing relay not activate.. plz give me the solution of it. Thank you

Welcome! Putting salt in the water would probably work. We are not clairvoyant and need more information as we are not there nor can we see or touch anything.

Thank you for your response sir but i want to use pipe line water as a switch.. for example when water present in pipe line 5 v relay work and absence of water relay stop working.. is it possible sir?

Yes it’s quite easy once you have a reliable way of detecting when there is water in the pipe. For example if you can position two wires in the pipe, a cm apart, then in a perfect world the resistance between them will drop from many megohms to a few kohms when water is present. What is your present arrangement or plan?

Thanks for your response

We’re unable to help confidently unless you show us the details. A circuit schematic (hand-drawn is OK) and a clear photo showing the whole thing. Especially the power source and the wiring.

Exactly... You won't be able to power a relay coil through water resistance. You'll need some kind of amplifier/coil driver circuit. That will require some electronics knowledge and some experimentation.

Yes i jst want to make that type of circuit to make 5 v relay working with low voltage signals from water presense.. i think it is possible but i have no idea what type of parts to make this possible.. if some budy advice me i can complite my project..

That is a characteristic of relative clean water. We are having problems with your secret project and the questions you are asking without enough information for us to work on. For example,
what type of water, what pressure is it, what is the pipe material, If plastic a capacitance sensor would work great? Is this a school project? Is this one of a kind? If not how many will you build? This is some of what we need to know as well as an annotated schematic showing what you tried so far.

Yes, as @gilshultz says, we still do not know what you are trying to do. I think we’re safe in assuming that you’re not in charge of the Municipal Water Supply. If you’re struggling then start with this.

Take that diagram, delete all except one of the five connections, so that you have a single NPN transistor, driving a single relay from a signal to its base from the sensor in water. All powered by your 5V supply.

Is this a school/college assignment?

Thanks for response. Sir the diagram i put here is in working condition when T pipe sensor both terminal short eachother.

Can you plz edit this circuit with put transistor or any thing else you suggest me.. thank you

Yes, we are!

Thank you sir i will sure try this but what is R and what's its value

That will depend on the relay, the transistor and the conductivity of the water measured by your probe

My project diagram

Thanks alote sir.. i will try this.
