Adafruit MAX31865 library with Nano RP2040 Connect

I am trying to get the Adafruit MAX31865 running with the Nano RP2040 Connect.

However I get the same error as described here: https://forum.arduino.cc/t/nano-rp2040-connect-not-showing-as-a-device-under-ports/864686?page=2. As mentioned by @mrseriousguy there might be a problem with the library and the Nano:

Is there a way to use Adafruit devices with the Nano RP2040?
