Advanced chart, grayed out Things while adding variables, Time Zone problem

hi,
when trying to link multiple variables to an advanced chart in a dashboard, i noticed some "THINGS" get grayed out after i add the first THING variable. This prevents me from adding the wanted variables to the chart.

in this first screen shot you can see all the THINGS and available variables of the first one.

Once i select a variable from this THING two of the other things get grayed out (Kapush & dodo) as can be seen in the next screen shot

I can still select to add variables from the available THINGS like Lora_1, as can be seen in the next screen shot.

One clue is that when hovering over the grayed out THINGS it says:
"things time zone doesn't match current selection".

Needless to say all the devices are in my yard and created from the same template.

Another clue comes from looking at two graphs (Advanced chart and Regular chart) from the dashboard.
although connected to the same variable on the same THING the graphs have different time zones as can be seen in the next screen shot.

If you know how i can fix this or where to ask I'd appreciate it.

please do not open twice the same topic. You already have this one

Cross-posting is against the Arduino forum rules. The reason is that duplicate posts can waste the time of the people trying to help. Someone might spend a lot of time investigating and writing a detailed answer on one topic, without knowing that someone else already did the same in the other topic.

Please create one topic only for your question and choose the forum category carefully. If you have multiple questions about the same project then please ask your questions in the one topic as the answers to one question provide useful context for the others, and also you won’t have to keep explaining your project repeatedly.

Repeated duplicate posting could result in a temporary or permanent ban from the forum.

Could you take a few moments to Learn How To Use The Forum. It will help you get the best out of the forum in the future.

Thank you.

sorry for the two posts, i didnt think they're the same issue.
i thought one is a time zone problem on different graphs and the other is a problem adding variables to a graph.
should i erase one of the down ?

that's fine - just be careful not to mix questions (and it's sometimes better to keep all the questions related to one project together as it helps with context).

Just make sure both discussions stay separated.

Hi @iam_me4654123m

I'll provide instructions you can follow to configure the time zone for an Arduino Cloud IoT Thing:

  1. If you are not already, log in to your Arduino account:
    https://login.arduino.cc/login
  2. Click the following link to open the list of your Arduino Cloud Things in the web browser:
    https://app.arduino.cc/things
  3. Click the name of the Thing for which you want to adjust the time zone configuration.
The "Setup" page for the Thing will open.
  4. Select the "Metadata" tab at the top of the page.
The Thing's metadata page will open.
  5. Select the desired time zone from the menu under the "Timezone" section of the page.

Using the procedure I described above, make sure you have configured the same time zone for all the Things that have Variables you want to use in a single "Advanced Chart" dashboard Widget. After doing that you should find that it is possible to add the Variables via the dashboard's "Advanced Chart" widget configuration interface without encountering the problem of the other thing being grayed out.

Thanks,
That solved it
