ADXL335 Lilypad Accelerometer

Question on ADXL335 accelerometer sampling rate:

According to the specs, choosing the capacitor values for the output pins defines the bandwidth.

Could someone verify that the Lilypad accelerometer with (1 microfarad capacitors) installed has a bandwidth of only 50Hz.

Based on some articles on the internet it seems 50Hz bandwidth is only good for tilting applications, but in my case I am trying to use an accelerometer to measure the frequency/amplitude of a vibratory motor in the 120-250Hz range, so I don't think it will suffice..

Can someone clarify?

Appreciate the help!

5Hz is the bandwidth. The accelerometer output resistance is 32k, so the 3dB point is 1 / (2 Pi R C)

wow 5 Hz is tiny, thats too bad

LilyPad Accelerometer - ADXL335 - DEV-09267 - SparkFun Electronics If it right board, than cap 0.1uF

Has anyone ever used one of these devices to measure frequency?

In that case how does one go about converting from G (m/s^2) to Hz?
