Yes, we are. Did you? In post #43, I stated that a formal bug report has been submitted to the developers:
If you check the report at that link, you can see that the developers already made a fix for it. The bug was in one of Arduino IDE's helper tools rather than in the application's own codebase, so the fix will only be applied to Arduino IDE once the developers update its helper tool dependency to the version that has the fix. We are tracking that update task here:

Were you using the Arduino IDE Serial Plotter? The bug also occurs when the plotter is open, just the same as Serial Monitor.
