Good morning everyone,
I own an Arduino Alvik robot used in an educational setting and I'm experiencing a rather critical problem: for the second time, the power button has broken.
From an initial analysis, it appears to be a 4-pin on/off micro switch. However, considering the intended use of the device (school, therefore frequent and repeated use), I'm surprised by the poor robustness of this component.
I wonder:
- Is this a known problem?
- Are there more reliable solutions (replacing with more robust switches, mods, etc.)?
- Has anyone already performed a permanent repair?
Any advice or experience is welcome, because the device as it is is unlikely to be sustainable in the long term in an educational context.
Thanks in advance.
