One with a connection to an antenna that can see GPS satellites outdoors.
can you give me link of example module ?
thanks
This item from Garmin will work as a complete unit. They also make external antennas for models that have the appropriate connector. The unit plugs into a computer via USB running DeLorme Street Atlas, MS Streets and Trips. or similar mapping programs.

Crossroads was pulling your leg. It appears to have come off. Oops.
GPS units need to see satellites. Unless you have some satellites in low earth orbit in your (really big) room, GPS is not an option.
I was thinking previously, unless it's a surveillance issue, wouldn't you already know where you are.
don't iphone gps work indoors?
I remember when I was working on adding gps to my drone, I am able to get gps lock indoors, albeit maybe taking 1 or 2 minutes time.
Probably depends how close one is to a window as to whether a bit of satellite signal is picked up or not.
"indoors" can mean many things. No self contained GPS will work indoors, if the signal has been absorbed by the roof and surroundings.
Not so much absorbed, as blocked.
How is blocked different from absorbed?
Blocked means the signals bounced off the exterior walls and roof and never made it to the antenna.
Absorbed means some made it thru the windows and died a quiet death in the furniture & carpet and drapes etc, If RF signals do that even.
Google is getting ready to roll out its own Bluetooth-based beacon technology, letting apps and web services pinpoint your exact location.
Bluetooth beacons allow for much greater accuracy than Wi-Fi and GPS alone, locating devices that are as close as a few centimeters away.

Same here! With aluminium blinds closed, even. Often not a complete GPS fix, but probably just one satellite's signal that reached the antenna anyway. Was working on code that just extracts date and time from the GPS, so the device was not near the window at the time. I was quite surprised.
