I just started using the new Arduino IDE 2.0.0. The Output frame below the code editing frame can be resized by dragging the top edge, but there seems to be a minimum height that is much too large on my laptop, a Lenovo ThinkPad T490. Is there a setting somewhere that can be edited to change this?
I am running Windows 11.
Hi @lilbuzz. I am not aware of any way to adjust this. The Arduino IDE developers are tracking the need to remove this unnecessary limitation here:

Since it is unfortunately a bit obscure, something you might not be aware of is that you can hide the bottom panel completely when not needed by clicking this icon on the right side of the status bar:
Thanks for the info. I didn't know about closing the Output window. It's better than nothing I guess. I'll have to re-enable it to see the Serial window, but at that time the height of it is okay.
