I've been using 2 screens on w10 pc , recently the DVI port crapped out, it was display 1 and vga port was display2 ,,,, now I only have 1 display available the vga and it is now display 1.
The last time I ran ide 2+ I used display 2 for the display... Now every time I try to run the IDE it thinks the display is 2 , hence , I see no display!!!! I reinstalled the IDE there was no change...
I'm at a loss as what to do now, does any body have any suggestions.... thx in advance
Out of the information I'm lost too.
Try the topic "How to get the best out of this forum".
If I’m reading your post correctly, the problem is in Windows, not the Arduino environment.
You had the IDE open on one screen, that particular screen died, and you can’t see the IDE window on the remaining screen.
How you approach it, depends on how the multiple displays were configured.
It sounds like the screens are set to span the desktop, you might try to change that to DUPLICATE the display in both screens until you can get the DVI port repaired.
Open any application to practice.
- Press
<alt><space>
. This will open a standard menu in the left top. - Cursor key down to select move.
Press<enter>
- You can now move the application window using the cursor keys.
Once you understand how it works, click the IDE icon in the task bar to give it the focus. Repeat the steps above to move the IDE to the 3xusting monitor
